Reviews :

I have used the sweetwater on all my hikes and it has filtered everything from clear mt. stream water to swamp water. Never had a failure and haven't caught any bugs (guess that is a good thing) I would highly recommend this unit to any one.

I've used a SweetWater Guardian for about 5 years and have been happy with it overall. Unfortunately,it failed on my last trip due to silty water and over use, I suppose. All the way along, it had been getting harder and harder to pump, with water squirting out the relief valve, as the ceramic filter got dirtier and dirtier. Next, the SiltStopper filters fouled and it began pumping dirty water out. Had to resort to boiling and waiting for it to cool. Am keeping my SweetWater, but am going to try an on-sale KataDyn Hiker for the same cost as new SweetWater filters, plus it offers much high output volume.
