Product Description The original 32oz Nalgene water bottle is still the best, and still number one. This is the bottle that got it all started. Made of super-tough Polycarbonate, with an attached loop-top cap that won't come loose. The large opening easily accommodates ice cubes, fits most water purifiers and filters, and makes hand-washing a breeze. Dishwasher safe. Withstands temperatures from -135ºC (-211ºF) to135ºC (275ºF).Extremely durable Resistant to staining Resistant to retaining odors Recommended for "extreme" adventures and everyday use Dishwasher Safe (top rack only) Withstands temperatures from -135ºC (-211ºF) to 135ºC (275ºF)

| Customer Reviews: The de facto hydration system for hikers...... August 14, 2006 Brian Kerecz (PA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Nalgene 32 oz. Bottles have become synonymous with hikers as the default medium through which to carry water, or any liquid. The properties of Nalgene make it perfect, as it is both lightweight and allows for boiling water to be poured into the bottle when preparing potable water during hiking trips or expeditions. Nalgene also precludes any stains or absorbing odors to take over the bottle, as is the case with most other materials. Add fantastic durability into the equation and what else could one ask for?
I'm drinking more water and saving on plastic! March 15, 2006 BarbaraD (Los Angeles, CA USA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have stopped using my Nalgene until the plastic is changed to a safer type. I love the overall concept of the product. Here was my review before the 'plastic issue' came out.
My pros and cons with this product:
Pro's: Easier to clean than the smaller mouthed bottles; I'm not recycling as much plastic in the way of purchased bottled water, which saves resources; I can easily add ice cubes to this container; I'm drinking more water for some reason maybe because I can add ice cubes; no funny taste associated with this container; has a jacket accessory that can be purchased separately that's works nicely to keep condensation off tables
Cons: doesn't fit in car cup holders, even my largest one. This is really the only flaw for me, but a big one as it poses problems when driving. I haven't tried the 24 oz version which may solve this problem but also take away some of the features that I like with the 32 oz model.
So though this isn't the perfect solution, it's the closest I've found so far.
