D the job! January 19, 2008 Beyond the Comfort Zone (Maryland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these snowshoes for myself for Christmas, but really needed them when my husband and I spent the holiday at our cottage in Northern New York State on the Canadian-US border.
That area had received significant snowfall just prior to our arrival but getting into our property and also around the grounds made it so much easier with these practical snowshoes.
We give them our highest endorsement!
Very simple to use January 27, 2008 G. Harmon 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Three simple straps make a snug fit over toes and around the heel. Just pull to tighten and lift the buckle tabs to loosen. They come off easier than they go on. The ice-gripping teeth are well-placed (right in the middle)and very effective on glare ice. Pretty durably built, too. A good deal for the price.
Everything I had hoped for! January 14, 2008 Kerri Pearlman (Boston, MA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I received the snowshoes quicker than I had thought and I have used them and they are great! I love them!
Super snowshoes! April 25, 2008 A. Mackereth (Minneapolis, MN) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these to replace a pair that had broken after only six uses. The previous ones cost $180 and these were less than $50 and just as good!
Great for the money January 12, 2007 Nel (Little falls, NJ United States) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
For the money these snowshoes will be just fine. They are not the latest technology regarding fasteners/closures and the binding seems to be made for a wider foot. I had rented some snowshoes (my first ever!) last winter that were latest style, and they were easy to fasten and adjust because all was velcro. Also they might havehad ones for men and women, cause I had narrower boots on and they fit tighter mine must have been for women). These that I bought here are unisex. But these are fine for my needs and $$$. These are good up to 175 lbs. I am 110 (a woman). The only problem is they are not easy to adjust for a narrow boot. So I'm gonna wear a wider hiking or snow boot. I wear a size 7 shoe, and I'll be fine. So I give this product 4stars. Can't beat them for the price! Would have been 5 star if it had velcro ties/closures/etc. The grippers look great. Plus I was able to fit them into a small duffle bag for easy carry. Can't wait for some snow.
