Reviews : All I want my stove to do is work flawlessly for an entire trip. While this seems like a basic requirement of any stove most fail to work with out cleaning and maintaining. The Nova worked flawlessly for 9 days on the Escalante river. No matter how much sand got on the pump or in the burner it started every time. If you are crispy make sure the fuel bottle is facing the right direction otherwise you will think the stove is broken. Stove heats water FAST (we got about 32oz of water boiling in under 12 minutes) from snow to boil (outside temp was -17f) I love the suggested method of turning the stove off, simply flip the fuel bottle over---but it is VERY awkward to actually do without causing the stove to move--make sure you take any water or food OFF the stove first. I say this because it takes about 60 seconds for the stove to go out once you flip the gas canister over. My major concern is that fuel will leak out of the connector when the stove is disconnected. I haven't yet contacted anyone about the problem because I have only recently received the stove. My initial reaction was that I was doing something wrong--but I'm not. Fuel will pour right out of the connector after you disconnect the stove if you tilt the fuel bottle over. I'll update this post if I get the fuel connector fixed... "Editor Note- a small amount of fuel will come out once the hose is disconnected. In our use only about half an ounce comes out. Attention all of you mechanically ill-equipped...the purpose of the Nova "flip the bottle to stop the flame" (design)...is to drain the fuel line, hence no dripping of fuel. This design works great, except for the minute fuel burn time, between bottle flipping and flame outing. Trust me it works! The Nova stove combines durability with ease for the perfect mountain cooking experience. The stainless steel body opens from compact packability to become a solid pot support, and the aluminum flipstop pump eases your fears of off-trail breakdowns. The patented brass NOVA burner primes quickly and simmers beautifully, whether you are using white gas or diesel fuel. The innovative and patented magnetic cleaning system allows you to clean the jets by just moving the tool under the stove, soyou never need to stop cooking, saving precious fuel and time. A lifetime warranty completes the package for the last stove you will ever need to own. The Nova is an excellent stove for extreme conditions. The Nova features a patented quick priming burner technology that reduces preheating time and makes the stove quick to light. This stove gives off a roaring flame in just seconds.
