breathability. An adjustable belt and removable suspenders keep snow out
and your pants in place when tumbling through the powder. Cut with a
gusseted crotch and knee-articulation, these low-profile pants will move
with you while scrambling over rocks or making turns down steep slopes.

I bought an Arc’teryx hardshell jacket and was pleased with the performance of the coat. The Arc’teryx hardshell pants share many of the jacket's performance qualities. The pants are very light and shed wind and moisture well. The construction and fit and finish of the pants are excellent. The suspenders work well and offer ample adjustment. I live in Colorado and wear these year round. Breathability is more important to me than water resistance. The Arc’teryx pants are very breathable. Zippers move easily. Occasionally, I wear crampons and the fabric on the inside of the leg of the pants did not rip when scraped by the teeth. My only complaint is the pants lack a rear pocket for my wallet.
